LA COLLINE
My heart does skip a beat when I do my usual mid-morning weather check on a Thursday on windguru and see grey blocks (which means rain) and pink blocks (which means wind) and this time there were both. We haven’t seen any grey blocks in months and months and we really do need the rain so badly that it did not seem appropriate to pray it away…so I decided to wait. Saturday did not look any better. On the contrary… As I was finishing up the last few things before I left for the wedding…I noticed a massive black cloud making its way over the ocean and the first drops fell as I left home. It was pouring by the time I got to Nadine…
I entered the room where she was getting ready (not sure how she would take the fact that it was raining. It was filled with girls and giggles and flowers and shoes and all things girly. I was too scared to say something – just in case they have not seen the rain, but they have. Nadine is such a gem. She was giggling and freezing cold most of the day and she just overflowed with happiness. If that much rain on your wedding day can not get the smile off your face…very few things would. What an awesome bride. I normally do not get to spent that much time with the groom…but Adam must be pretty awesome too to get a girl like Nadine. Even though it was still drizzling, freezing and gale force winds outside they were brave enough to go to the beach and do some photos….and I hope they love them!
What a fun day! So much laughter and so much happiness….and what a brilliant way to start a life together!
